Mr. Charles Snetter, jr, Successful Businessman; a Renowned Radio Personality and Public Enterprise Executive

Mr. Charles Snetter, jr.owns and operates Radio Monrovia, ELRM; a radio service of the Snetter Enterprises Incorporated, The station broadcast on 92.1 FM in the heart of Monrovia, Liberia. 

He served as Director General of the Liberian Broadcasting Corporation and Chairman of the the Liberian Broadcasting System (LBS) “EXPO 83.”

Mr. Benoni Urey, Successful and Talented Businessman; Humanitarian and Former Commissioner of Maritime, Liberia

Mr. Benoni Urey is a  successful and very talented entrepreneur, a humanitarian; served as Mayor of Careysburg City and Former Commissioner of Maritime, Liberia.

He has a Masters of Science degree in Public and Private Planning; a second Masters of Arts degree in Public Finance both from University of Southern California. and a Bachelors in Chemistry from the Cuttington University.

He served as President of the Agricultural Cooperative and Development Bank in Liberia; Deputy Director General for planning and training at the Liberia Electricity Corporation and as a Training Officer at the LEC for 13. Bononi also worked  as a city planner with the County of Los Angeles in the U.S.

Dr. Walter Gwenigale, Humanitarian and current Minister of Health & Social Welfare

“Dr. G,” as he is affectionately called by his  friends and patients, is the Minister of Health and Social Welfare. Not only is he an experienced surgeon, but an advocate on health issues affecting the Liberian population. During the intensity of the Liberian civil war, he remained committed to the cause of advocating for those adversely affected by the war.

Dr. Gwenigale served as the Bong County Health Officer; Director of Phebe Hospital and President of the Christian Health Association of Liberia over the last 30 years.  He receive a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.

During his leadership as Minister of Health, he has served with distinction on the WHO’s Executive Board and as a Board Member of Roll Back Malaria….Very Hard Working and committed to serving humanity.

Dr. Joseph Korto, Former Minister of Education; Founder and Executive Director of the Liberian Development Founda and Member of the Liberia Equal Rights Party (LERP)

korto2Dr. Joseph Korto is a member of the Liberia Equal Rights Party (LERP). He served as Minister of Education from 2006-2010. He is the Executive Director and Founder of the Liberian Development Foundation. Dr. Korto is a renowned politician, who has contested the Presidential elections in Liberia on numerous occasions.

He holds a doctorate in education from the Catholic University of America in Washington DC.

Mr. Samuel Kofi Wood, Human Rights Activist; Humanitarian and Minister of Public Works, Liberia

Mr. Samuel Kofi Wood is currently the Minister of Public Works, Liberia. He is widely recognized for his commitment to human rights activism, managing to write and distribute to the international community reliable reports of abuses in the midst of a brutal civil war in Liberia. Amongst his remarkable work to humanity, Mr. Kofi-Woods is the Founder of the Foundation for International Dignity (FIND) and the Justice and Peace Commission Legal Aid Programme. He has also been a visiting scholar at Columbia University between 1993 and 1994.

He acquired a Masters of Law (L.L.M) with emphasis in Public International Law from the University of Leiden,  in the Netherlands; a Post-Graduate Diploma with focus in International Laws and Organizations for Development from the Institute of Social Studies (ISS), the Netherlands; and is a product of the University of Liberia where he acquired a Bachelors of Law (L.L.B Degree) from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law. Woods also has a Certificate in International Law and Human Rights Theory from Columbia University, New York, USA.

Kenneth Y. Best, Liberia, World Press Freedom Hero, 2000, Veteran Publisher and Founder of the Liberian Daily Observer

kBestKenneth Y. Best, Liberia, World Press Freedom Hero, 2000. He is the Founder of Liberia’s first independent daily newspaper; ‘The Daily Observer’, which was founded in February 1981. The paper quickly established itself as Liberia’s most influential publication, but its critical reporting of the preceding administrations landed this legendary editor into trouble over the years.

Jerome J. Verdier Sr., Leading Human Rights Activist, Environmental Lawyer, Former Chairman, Truth and Reconciliation Committee for Liberia

Jerome J. Verdier Sr. is a leading human rights activist and environmental lawyer. Verdier was selected to serve as chairperson of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee for Liberia in 2006.

In 2012,  he graduated from Cornell with a Masters of Law degree (LLM). He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009 and is a product of the University of Liberia where he acquired a  Bachelor’s of Business Administration as well as a Bachelor’s of Law degree from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law.
